Our ministry is that of a faithful witness to all men of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, that He may, "open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they might receive the forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith in Him." It shall be a Church home for true believers and their families where they may be fed on the Word, developed spiritually, and trained for usefulness in service.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”
(Romans 10:13)

About Our Church A local church presence in the West Collingswood Heights section of Haddon Township began with the founding of a community Sunday School in the fall of 1935. The first meeting place was in the facilities of the West Collingswood Heights Fire Company located at the corner of Nicholson Road and Pennsylvania Avenue. In 1939 officials of Haddon Township were approached by several members of the Community Sunday School of West Collingswood Heights, to inquire about obtaining some ground to build a church on. The official breaking of ground at 117 Nicholson Road took place on May 3, 1947 with Mr. W. Warner, Sunday School superintendent presiding over the ceremony.
"So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever." (Psalm 79.13)
We're happy to announce that through the generous giving of God's people and God's gracious provision, a steeple has been installed on our building! We praise the Lord for the opportunity to enhance the appearance of our facilities and we hope that it will be a blessing not only to our congregation but to all of the people of the West Collingswood Heights community. A number of the residents of our community have donated gifts to be used to complete this project. Thank you for your support and your generosity!
The congregation of Calvary Baptist Church is privileged in a small way to financially support missionaries serving on home and foreign fields of ministry. We believe that the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 29:19-20) is of the highest priority in the ministry of the local New Testament Church.
